Villarreal CF Women’s Pro Pathway 

For the first time, Villarreal CF Women is hosting an official professional scouting showcase in the United States. Players will be identified directly by the decision-makers responsible for building the Villarreal CF Women’s professional team. This event is open to players from 18 to 23 years of age who will receive a professional evaluation from the director and coordinator of Villarreal CF Women’s Program Sergi Campos, as well as  members of the first team’s coaching staff.

The Goal: Identify elite talent ready to compete in European professional football.

What does the event include?

The event offers a professional football experience in which players take part in a structured evaluation event designed to highlight their talent within a high-performance environment. The program provides official club equipment, training sessions led by qualified coaches, and detailed assessments carried out by professional staff following elite performance standards. Throughout the event, players train, compete, and receive direct feedback, allowing them to demonstrate their abilities while gaining valuable exposure.

Who is this tryout for?

The Pro Pathway event is created for female players aged 18 to 23 who aspire to compete at a professional level within an international environment. Hosted by Villarreal CF Women, it welcomes athletes from diverse backgrounds - college, semi-professional, professional, gap year, or high school - offering a professional setting where their talent can be evaluated and developed. The program is designed to support ambitious players seeking visibility, international exposure, and a clear pathway toward a professional football career.

What is our objective?

The objective of the Villarreal CF Women Pro Pathway event is to provide players with international professional opportunities through visibility, structure, and a competitive environment within the Villarreal CF platform. It supports both sporting and personal development by offering guidance, performance exposure, and career planning tools. Through this experience, players can grow within Villarreal’s environment while opening pathways to new opportunities and advancing their football careers.

  • Do I need a European passport?

    No. Players must be eligible to sign with a European club under FIFA regulations. This may include EU/US passport holders or players meeting specific eligibility criteria.



  • Is this an official Villarreal CF event?

    Yes. The Villarreal CF Women Pro Path event is an official Villarreal CF scouting and recruitment initiative led directly by the club’s soccer department.

  • Is a professional contract guaranteed?

    Players’ selection is based entirely on sporting merit and eligibility.

  • What does the selected player receive?

    The selected player will receive a professional contract within Villarreal CF’s team in Spain, subject to final contractual agreements and regulatory compliance.

  • Who will evaluate the players?

    Players will be evaluated by: Villarreal CF Women’s Football Director; Villarreal CF First Team coaching staff; Villarreal Academy Coordinator.




  • How are players selected for the recruiting event?

    All applications are reviewed first by Villarreal CF’s Scouting department. Players will train and compete at a 1 day event. Registered player(s) will receive an official invitation via email.

  • What age groups are eligible?

    Eligible age categories are players 18 to 23 years old.

  • Is there a participation fee?

    Participation fees cover event logistics, facility use, staffing and operational costs. Fees do not influence selection decisions.
